James, Bynum earn NBA weekly honors

The Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers' Andrew Bynum have been named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the period ending January 25. James guided the Cavaliers to a 3-1 record during a week-long West Coast swing, averaging 30.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 2.3 steals, per contest. Lakers' final home game before trip is no walkover

The Lakers play host Tuesday to the Charlotte Bobcats, a team they have lost to four of the last five games. After that is a six-game trip and 22 road games over the next 31.
